Meet EWA's superheros!
Our ethos of flexibility, agility and innovation delivers the kind of project diversity that keeps our team motivated and excited about what we do, how we do it and how we could do it even better next time.

Working in this environment helps retain and develop our highly skilled team, providing the opportunity to help in the delivery of a wide range of diverse client programmes across a range of sectors.
Paul Luxon
Managing Director
I ultimately take responsibility for all activities within the business, a role that is varied and creative I enjoy finding and developing solutions to client challenges.

I joined the company soon after it was formed in 1983 and together with the two original directors built the core foundations and business principles of the organisation, as it exists today. Marketing Communications is my passion, developing and implementing Contact Strategies, Communications Programmes and Channel Integration Strategies for large brands including: Marks & Spencer, Nissan, adidas, Merial, Department of Health, and TDA. Other than that, I like to spend time tinkering with my 50-year-old Mini!

David Lifton
Technical Director
I get involved with all of our client projects from providing appropriate technical advice and guidance, through to the provision of complex desktop, web and data solutions.

The most exciting part of my role is developing and deploying solutions for our clients that are not bound or limited by what we've provided in the past, but are innovative, forward thinking and reflect the unique requirements and objectives of each individual programme.

Kay Shelley
Operations Manager
I deal with Resourcing, Project Implementation, HR and Account Management. Some say I am EWA's secret weapon. No matter how big, how small, complex or simple, a project is - I make it happen!

I love the variety, the team work, and the people at EWA, I also love making things happen and sense of achievement I get with it! A good example is beating the challenges around main billing, year on year. I work with a great team of people to ensure that main billing files are received, printed and despatched on time, which often requires round the clock working. When we meet all deadlines, receiving great feedback from clients is most rewarding.

Mike Flack
Senior Account Director
I have a dual role at EWA. On the one hand I undertake direct contract management of programmes for clients such as Nissan GB. On the other, I provide consultancy and strategic support for prospective or existing programmes.

As an old boy, some would say I am a Senior Account Director by age and experience, I like the way my job has evolved over time. The variety of roles and therefore job interest is extensive and largely unrestricted. Notable moments include managing a new concept Marks and Spencer contact centre the set-up and handling of customer services for their first venture into e-commerce for food order and delivery. Not only was this pioneering and a somewhat risky model for M&S at the time, it opened up opportunities that led to the launch and support of a number of similar services. My idea of contentment after a hard day of pioneering is travelling off the beaten track with a drop of good wine and a book.

Greg Illsley
Senior IT Consultant
My primary role at EWA is one of system architect - designing and building browser-based applications, for open-source platforms.

I originally began my career at EWA in October '91, having just graduated from University with an Electronic Systems Engineering degree and stayed until '98 when I was offered a job with a large City Law firm.
I remained in contact with friends and colleagues at EWA throughout my ‘sabbatical’, and returned to the fold just before the turn of the millennium.

Every day brings a fresh challenge and the opportunity to learn new skills essential for effective, relevant IT solutions, and I consider myself enormously fortunate to work with an outstanding team of people who genuinely want to deliver the very best technical solutions possible.

Gary Donnelly
Contract Manager
After a brief absence of 27 years, predominately spent in operational roles managing customer service and sales contact centres, I'm back in the EWA family!

We have a really interesting range of clients across a huge array of sectors and I'm lucky enough to manage the relationships with a number of them including those from political parties and from the publishing, house building and food industry.

I'm also looking after the New Business function so I'll usually be your first point of contact when discussing your project requirements - we'll then put together the right people to take it forward, fortunately there's a great team of talented people here who ensure we always come up with a solution!

Ellie Dobson
Contracts Manager
I am an Account Manager, and I ensure that we deliver the excellent service our clients expect! I love the variety of clients at EWA, and have the pleasure to work in welfare food, animal pharmaceuticals, and petroleum transport.

One of the best experiences at EWA has to be belly dancing for Children in Need. My Junior Manager put together a dance group from my team. We were all a little left-footed, but with a bit of practice, and a lot of laughter, we mastered a routine, which raised a lot of money for a worthwhile cause!

Steven Gozzett

I am responsible for IT application and database development within EWA, this can range from a one hour job to a project that requires involvement throughout the life of the contract.

I also spend my time working closely with other members of the EWA team and client partners to ensure the final solution exceeds expectations.
